Over 1st and 2nd
April 2016 the Wing held a second Basic Fieldcraft
Course for cadets new to Fieldcraft to teach the
basic skills. The cadets assembled at RAF St Mawgan
on the evening of the 1st after which they were given a full safety brief including
on climatic injuries. Ration packs and equipment were issued. An early start
the following morning commenced with cadets cooking their own breakfast using
hexi-burner stoves. After breakfast the cadets were
given a series of lessons by the Directing Staff and Directing Staff Cadet
NCOs. After completing the lessons the day was ended with exercises to put
into practice skills learnt during the day. |
