Plymouth & Cornwall Wing have under the direction of the Wing Commander and the Wing Fieldcraft Officer commenced Fieldcraft Intermediate Courses. The courses of up to 40 cadets who have received basic Fieldcraft instruction either on a Wing Basic Fieldcraft Course or at approved Squadron Basic Fieldcraft training are taught further Fieldcraft skills by senior cadet NCOs and Wing Fieldcraft Instructors. The skills taught increase the cadet's Fieldcraft skills towards being able to operate with limited supervision on a series of exercises. The exercises are conducted in a controlled but more open enviroment than that of the Basic Course. All cadets feed on ration packs and sleep under bashas (an open two man shelter) which they build.
