FIELDCRAFT AT SCRAESDON
FORT 22-24-MAY-15
50 cadets, 10 senior cadet NCOs and 8 staff attended
Scraesdon Fort , an old military fort now used for training, to spend a
weekend of Fieldcraft skills development. During the weekend a number of
refresher lessons were given after which the skills were put into practice in
a number of exercises. To ensure that all energy was burnt, the cadets went
on the 'mud run' with a steep him climb at the end of the course. Not even
the senior cadet NCOs escaped from taking part in the course. Air Commadore
Turnicliffe popped in to see the activities first hand and passed on valuable
advice to the senior cadet NCOs who organised many of the activities under
the command of the Wing Fieldcraft Officer.
