PARADES
ATC SUNDAY Each
year the RAF Air Cadets marks the anniversary of the issue of the Royal
Warrant by King George VI formally creating the Air Training Corps on 5th
February 1941. This anniversary is observed in the form of a parade and
service on the Sunday closest to the 5th February known as ATC
Sunday. |

ARMED FORCES DAY In support of our parent organisation, the
Royal Air Force, and the other Armed Forces the Wing takes part in the Armed
Forces Day parades. The largest Armed Forces Day parade in the
Wing area is normally the parade in Plymouth held on The Hoe. In 2023 the National Armed Forces Day event
was held in Falmouth. In support to RAF St Mawgan
the Wing paraded over 90 cadets and staff. |
|
REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY |
Each year Squadrons across the Wing
support the local Royal British Legion’s Remembrance parades including
collecting for the Poppy Appeal and laying of wreaths. |
OTHER PARADES In addition to the above annual parades the Wing supports special
anniversary parades recently including the 75th anniversary of the
RAF Air Cadets and the centenary of the Royal Air Force as well as the annual
Battle of Britain parade. |
