SPACE & STEM

BTEC IN SPACE STUDIES With space becoming more strategically important for both commercial and military use, the RAF Air Cadets is introducing a new qualification – the BTEC in Space Studies. This qualification consists in a number of modules at three levels, Blue, Bronze and Silver. On completion of each level the cadets are awarded a certificate.

STEM

The RAF Air Cadets has been active in promoting STEM (Science Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) since the formation of the ATC both in classification subjects and in practical activities. STEM in classification subjects include Rocketry, Jet Propulsion, Radio & Radar, Data Communications, cyber and space. STEM in practical activities include radio, drones and robotics. STEM camps allow cadets who have an active in furthering their knowledge in STEM to explore the subject further in both theory and practical activities.
