CIVILIAN WELFARE COMMITTEES
CIVILIAN WELFARE
COMMITTEES Civilian
Committees are an integral part of the organisation which are responsible for
the oversight of raising and spending of funds with the purpose of the
welfare of the cadets and staff. |
SQUADRON CIVILIAN
WELFARE COMMITTEES Each squadron is required to have a civilian welfare
committee. The committee members usually consist of parents of cadets, past
squadron members and members of the local community who have an interest in
the squadron e.g. members of the local Royal British Legion. Members are
required to undertake a basic check to allow them to access MOD property.
They will become trustees for the squadron funds, squadrons may take out
insurance to protect their trustees from any individual financial liability. The squadron welfare committee will consist
of a Chairperson, a Treasurer, a Secretary and other members who will meet
four to six times a year to discuss the squadron and decide on requests for
the spending of squadron funds. |
WING CIVILIAN WELFARE
COMMITTEE Like squadrons, the Wing has a Civilian Welfare
Committee who oversee the raising and spending of funds for the Wing, this
will include spending of equipment for use across the Wing by the cadets and
staff as well as grants for specific activities and cadet oportunities. The Wing Civilian Welfare Committee is mainly
made up of Chairpersons of Squadron Civilian Welfare Committees and other
persons with interest in the organisation.
