WHO WE ARE

 

Plymouth & Cornwall Wing are part of the South West Region of the Air Training Corps (ATC). There are 40 Wings in 6 Regions which make the Air Training Corps. Together with the RAF Section of the Combined Cadet Force (CCF) the ATC is part of Air Cadet Organisation (ACO) which is a youth organisation sponsored by the the Royal Air Force. There are over 40,000 cadets aged 13 to 20 years in over 900 Squadrons in the UK. Within Plymouth & Cornwall Wing there are 23 Squadrons and Detached Flights.

 

In line with the Corps the Aims are:

Promote and encourage a practical interest in aviation and the Royal Air Force among young people

Provide training which will be useful in Services and civilian life

Encourage the spirit of adventure and develop qualities of leadership and good citizenship
