YOUR CHILD'S SAFETY

CIVILIAN COMMITTEE

Each Squadron needs a Civilian Committee to manage the Squadron funds for the welfare of the cadets. Most Squadron Civilian Committee's members are made up of parents of cadets who wish to be involved in the Squadron but do not have enough time to dedicate to become staff. Other interested parties including members of the local branch of Royal British Legion may also join the committee. Being part of the committee requires minimal commitment of time with most committees meeting for a couple of hours every couple of months.

Being a committee member is an excellent way of keeping in touch with what the Squadron is doing as the Squadron Commander will be invited to the meeting to give a report. Like may other committees they have a Chairperson, a Treasurer and a Secretary. The Chairperson will be invited to the Wing Civilian Committee to act as a link between the Squadron Committee and the Wing.

Interested in joining? The first step will be to make contact with the Squadron Commander who will be able to put you in touch with the Chairperson of their Civilian Committee and advise you when the next meeting is scheduled to take place.
