TEN TORS 2021
Ten Tors is a course set over Dartmoor completed over a weekend in May during which you have to visit ten hills known as Tors. There are three distances depending on age, 35km, 45km and 55km. As a lot will be aware, this year was supposed
to be the 60th Ten Tors event. A lot of effort goes into our annual training
by both cadets and staff, and this is going to be along with other events
something that will be hard to achieve continuation and progression. With this in mind, we would like if possible
to start trawling both cadets and staff so as we can ascertain their interest
as as per the norm, we have to bid for future teams in September. We aim, if allowed, to start our training for
the upcoming again 23 – 25th October with a joint IET/DofE
weekend, thus trying to utilise staff and not splitting in different
directions, in order to play a little catch up, we envisage that we will need
not only staff with an interest into walking(qualifications not a necessity),
but also Staff with FMT600, both minibus and crew-cab. Cadets and staff are asked to contact
their Squadron Commander to inform them of their interest in taking part in
Ten Tors 2021. |
